Therapy is most helpful when you feel comfortable, understood, and connected with your therapist. Many people begin to get a sense of whether a therapist is the right fit within the first few sessions. To help you explore this, I offer a free 20-minute consultation where we can meet, talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, and give you the opportunity to ask any questions before deciding whether you’d like to move forward.

Yes, if your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement from your insurance company. I’m happy to offer a complimentary benefits check by contacting your insurance provider to obtain an estimate of your out-of-network mental health coverage. To do this, I’ll need you to provide your first and last name, date of birth, insurance name and Member ID.

Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
