Grief & Loss Therapy

With Natalie Saada, LMHC,
and Cushion Mental Health

I’m a therapist who knows what it’s like to lose a parent after an illness.

I get women relief from the emotional weight of caregiving, anticipatory anxiety, heartbreak, overwhelming sadness, grief, and loss.

Are you overwhelmed by the illness or loss of a parent or family member?

Do you feel sad, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or guilty?

Illness, caregiving, and grief can bring sadness, fear, uncertainty, resentment, and pressure all at once. Women come to me when they feel consumed by what’s happening, anxious about what comes next, exhausted or overwhelmingly sad.

Some women tell themselves they can handle it and push their feelings aside, only to realize how much the illness, caregiving, or loss is affecting them. Others get guilty taking care of themselves while caring for someone they love, or assume they’re supposed to feel this sad after loss and just keep going.

Women Come To Me When They’re:

  • Overwhelmed by grief

  • Caring for a sick parent or family member

  • Anxious about what’s next

  • Emotionally exhausted

  • Feeling guilty

  • Holding everything together

  • Managing family tension

  • Struggling to function

  • Unable to move forward

You don’t have to wait until grief becomes unmanageable to get support.

How My Grief and Loss Therapy Works

Therapy with me is collaborative, reflective, insightful, and grounded in evidence-based care.

There’s no pressure to find a silver lining, grieve on a certain timeline, or “move on.” Our work focuses on making space for processing the grief of losing a loved one and helping you feel supported, grounded, able to function and ultimately to live fully again.

We’ll understand what’s driving the anxiety, guilt, or overwhelm to help you cope with caregiving, grief, and loss.

Clients often say I remember the small details, and those details help connect patterns, relationships, and emotions that feel difficult to make sense of alone.

Modalities I Use

You can make space for grief, stay connected to the person you love, and still learn how to live fully again.

Find Your Footing

Instead of feeling alone inside life transitions, therapy supports you through them.

After Grief and Loss Therapy With Me, Clients Report:

  • Healthier coping

  • Reduced sadness

  • Less guilt

  • Better boundaries

  • Feeling more grounded

  • Feeling like themselves again

My goal is to help you carry your grief, feel supported, and move forward without leaving your loved one behind.

About Me

👋🏼 Hi, I’m Natalie.

I work with women navigating grief, motherhood, anxiety, caregiving, identity shifts, and major life transitions. I combine evidence-based therapy with genuine understanding of how overwhelmingly sad loss can feel.

I understand both the emotional transition into motherhood and the emotional intensity of caregiving, grief and loss.

Before becoming a therapist, I earned a Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University and worked in Human Resources, experiences that continue shaping how I support women today.

Outside of therapy, you can find me at a concert with my husband, spending time in the park with my little one, or planning my next beach trip.

Availability: I provide therapy via telehealth throughout New York and New Jersey.
